Sisters of Charity Foundation

In order to promote, in perpetuity, the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Australia, specifically in the service of the poor, the Congregation has established a perpetual charitable fund, namely the Sisters of Charity Foundation Fund.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation Limited is a public non-profit company set up by the Congregational Leader and Council to act as Trustee of the Foundation Fund. It commenced in March 2000. Its purpose is to promote the mission of the Sisters of Charity, by supporting initiatives of benefit to the community, particularly for people with special needs who receive no support or who are inadequately funded from other sources.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation is not attached to a particular institute of the Congregation and as such is distinct from the Foundations attached to the various Sisters of Charity health care and educational facilities. Those Foundations are there to provide financial assistance to further the work of the specific facility to which each is attached.
