Sr Rose recently joined the Board of the Sisters of Charity Foundation and is delighted to be a part of this initiative which provides very tangible service of the poor. Rose first experienced the care and compassion of the Sisters when she attended a primary school conducted by them when she was five years old and her association continued at secondary school and during nurse training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

Afterwards, in 1963 she entered the Sisters of Charity and has been part of the health care ministry ever since, working in hospitals in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania and witnessing the service of the poor in a variety of ways. She has also served on the Boards of Sisters of Charity facilities over the years.
